There are sometimes when you need to connect your laptop or tablet to the internet. But, you do not have any public wifi out there. Don’t worry, you can create your own public wifi network using your android smartphone. If you have internet pack on your SIM card, you can easily share it with your laptop, tablet or another smartphone. For this, you have to set up mobile hotspot on android smartphone. After successful setup, you can easily connect the internet on your various devices via wifi. With the mobile hotspot, you can connect up to 5 devices on 3G phones and 10 devices on 4G LTE phones.
Keep in mind that the data you use on your other devices will be charged on your phone’s data plan. Hence, it is advised that you should enable WPA2 PSK security and create a strong wifi password. If you do not enable security, your phone will be open for every device nearby to connect and use the internet. Below are the steps to set up mobile hotspot on android phones.

Step 1- Go to ‘Tethering & mobile hotspot’
Open your smartphone’s settings by clicking on the gear icon in the status bar or applications tray. Here click on the ‘More’ option to find more connectivity related settings. Click on ‘Tethering & mobile hotspot’ to open its options.
Step 2- Set up Wi-Fi hotspot
Click on ‘Set up mobile hotspot’ option to open it. Here you will find some option to create your own Wi-Fi hotspot. Enter an easy to remember network name on the desired field. Change security from none to WPA2 PSK and create a strong and unhackable password and click save.
Step 3- Turn on mobile hotspot
Your next step is to turn on the mobile hotspot option from ‘Tethering & mobile hotspot’ menu. After enabling mobile hotspot you can search for your Wi-Fi network and connect from any of your supported devices.
