Whatsapp with more than one billion users worldwide is a well-known, cross-platform and encrypted instant messaging smartphone application. One can send not only text messages, images, audio message but also videos, documents and user locations. Many of us or I can say that almost all of us are using WhatsApp to contact our friends, family members, colleagues and even clients. And after a long wait, Whatsapp has added some valuable Whatsapp formatting features. Here are some tips to format your text on Whatsapp.
Making text Bold, Italic and
Sometimes, during a conversation you want to emphasize any word, phrase or entire message in Whatsapp And you don’t know how to do the same. Don’t worry Whatsapp now has some handy formatting features to make your text emphasized. You can easily make your text Bold, Italic, and Strikethrough. Yes, you heard it right. Below are the tricks to format texts on Whatsapp-
You can make your text bold by adding an asterisk (*) symbol on both sides of the word, phrase or entire message which you want to look Bold. For example, if you want the text ‘This text is Bold’ to look bold. You can simply type on your WhatsApp * This text is Bold* and after clicking the send button WhatsApp will automatically convert your text to This text is Bold.
You can italicise your text using the same method which you used to make your text bold. All you need to do is change the symbol we used before. To make text italicised on Whatsapp we have to place an underscore (_) symbol on both sides of the text like we did before.
Just like making your text bold and italic you can also make your text
strikethrough. To strike through your text you should add a tilde (~) symbol on both sides of the desired text.
Yes! you can combine any of these formatting techniques to get desired output. For example when you need some text to be bold and italicised. All you need to do is place both an asterisk and an underscore symbol on each side of the text. you can combine all three or any two to format text as you want.
