In the Indian subcontinent, cricket is perhaps the most loved sport. And the season of the cricket is also on. But, not everyone has the opportunity or time to play cricket on the ground. For those, Google Play Store has a number of cricket games. ICC Pro Cricket 2015 is also one of them which let you enjoy cricket on your Android phone. But, how good is this game? How challenging are the matches and modes in the ICC Pro Cricket 2015? Is it one of the top cricket games for Android or just another ordinary entry in Play Store?
In this post, I am going to review ICC Pro Cricket 2015 and tell you everything about it. I will also tell you about the goods and bads of this game.

ICC Pro Cricket 2015 for Android
ICC Pro Cricket 2015 game is developed by Indiagames Ltd. It is the official cricket game of ICC world cup. Unlike other cricket games, this game has managed to get ICC license. Hence, all 14 cricket teams have real player names and jerseys. It gives the game a realistic look. Various game modes including world cup make it challenging and addictive. This is one of my favorite games which I play when bored.
World Cricket Championship 2 is another cricket game which I enjoy playing. But, ICC Pro Cricket 2015 is surely a tough competitor for that. Even it beats World Cricket Championship 2 in some aspects such as being realistic and lightweight. However, it has ads which keep coming during play very often. Even sometimes you see ads after every over. And the worst part is that you cannot skip most ads before 30 seconds. It means you have to watch a 30-second video to play only a single over sometimes. It is kind of annoying, isn’t it?
ICC Pro Cricket 2015 launches faster and does not eat a lot of RAM and battery. But, it is the gameplay which I like the most. So, let’s first talk about it.

ICC Pro Cricket 2015 perhaps has the most interesting gameplay among all the cricket games for Android. It has four playing modes to choose from including quick play, world tour, world cup and batting star. However, you have to throw ₹500 each for the world cup and batting star modes. But, it is not necessary to purchase these modes to enjoy the richness of the gameplay.
Though you can purchase them to get everything out of the game. But, if you are a person who plays games casually to pass time. Then I would not recommend you to spend cash for these modes. You can still enjoy the cricket in quick play and world tour modes. And believe me, these modes have more than enough excitement for a casual gamer. But if you like to play cricket on your Android device for hours. Then you should purchase world cup and batting star modes too.

Game Modes in ICC Pro Cricket 2015
The first mode which is a common mode in all the games is quick play mode. In this mode, you just need to choose your team, opponent and overs to start playing instantly. You need to unlock a team using in-app coins to choose it as your team. However, you can choose any team as your opponent without unlocking. You only can play a 10 overs’ match in quick play mode for free. And this mode contains ads between overs too. But, if you can spend some real cash then you can play 2,5 and 20 overs’ match. These purchased modes do not contain ads but are costly too. Purchasing these modes will cost you ₹80 each.
Now let’s talk about the world tour mode. In this mode, you need to create your personalized team and tour the world. At the starting, you go to the tour of UAE. You have to play and win matches there to win points. Next country will be unlocked when you earn enough points. As you win matches and progress in the game the difficulty level increases. In this mode, you can buy a player if you have enough cash. You can also sell a player which is not performing good or you just don’t need him. This mode is based on card system where players are cards. You can train a player also by sending some in-game coins.

Moderate Difficulty Level
Overall, the gameplay is pretty good if not great. All the players perform according to their skill and experience level. For example, a bowler with higher skills can take wickets easily. And it is tough to hit sixes for a tail ender batsman too. If he, apparently you, tries to hit one, better chances are that he will be caught at the fence. The AI of the game is good enough to provide you an exciting and competitive gameplay.
ICC Pro Cricket 2015 is a moderate difficulty type game. Hitting the shots is not difficult for a proper batsman and so as delivering dot balls for a proper bowler. As you get used to with its controls, you can win matches even in hard difficulty modes. However, the game has a bigger learning curve than other cricket games. Because the controls, especially in bowling, are a bit different and difficult too. Delivering a ball with perfect line and length is tougher than any other cricket game. But at the same time, it is also closer to reality than them.
At the start, you may feel some trouble in control and loose matches frequently. But over time as you get experience playing the game, you will definitely win games. I won’t say that winning a match will be easy but you can win if you play well. And I believe that if a game is easy to win then it’s not a good game.

Graphics & Sound
Graphics is the area where most cricket games fall behind. You will get many football, basketball and other sports games with great graphics. But when it comes to cricket, the number is quite less. I can name only a few cricket games which have good graphics such as World Cricket Championship 2, Cricket Career 2016 and also ICC Pro Cricket 2015. Amongst all these, World Cricket Championship 2 is perhaps the best 3D cricket game for Android. Though not as good as WCC2, ICC Pro Cricket 2015 is also a graphically advanced game thanks to the Indiagames Ltd. developers.
Though the graphics are not as great as World Cricket Championship 2, they are good enough for an Android phone. The jerseys of the players are similar to their official jerseys. The ground, pitches and stadiums look realistic. Along with that, in-game animations are also similar to a real match.
When we talk about sounds, SFX and commentary, the game clearly lack. The commentary is what disappoints me more. The commentator only speaks when a ball is being hit or a run taken. Otherwise most of the time, an awkward silence fills the ground. It feels kinda annoying to me and it will give you the same feeling I believe.

The first thing I like in ICC Pro Cricket 2015 is its being official ICC world cup game. It is a fun to play with the players with real names and jerseys. I like when ‘Virat Kohli’ walks into the middle not ‘Verat Kholi’ or any other similarly named player. And the second thing that drew my attention is its innovative controls. I have played too many cricket games on phone. And almost every game has similar
I have played too many cricket games on phone. And almost every game has similar controls, especially for bowling. But this game has changed this with its tap and swipe control for bowling. You need to tap to stop the consistently moving cursor for the ideal length. It sounds easy but practically it’s not. The speed of moving cursor is fast so stopping it at the desired place is tough. Isn’t it the case when you play real cricket on the ground?
Another thing which I like is its game modes especially world tour mode. It gives you the opportunity to play as a new team and take it to the top. You can train players, buy and sell them to make a better team.

ICC Pro Cricket 2015 also has some bad things that need improvement. The first and biggest of them is its pricing. You have to spend money to purchase game modes and even extra over modes in quick play mode. I found it very disturbing and Indiagames Ltd. should consider lowering its prices.
The second bad is in-game and in-match ads. Though these ads are the main source of income for developers. But the excess of anything is bad and so is the case for ads too. I am not annoyed with the ads but with the frequency of the ads. You see ads when you launch a game. You see ads between overs. And it does not stop here. The game will show you ads whenever it can. And most of the ads are unskippable videos that you have to watch for 30 seconds.
